Friday I took the day off from work. In the morning the support tech was supposed to come from HP to fix my computer and in the afternoon I was going to see another opthalmalogist about the conjunctivitis.
I waited for the HP techie to get here during the promised time between 8-12 and no later than 10. At 10:30 I called and was advised that "he'll be there soon," impressed by the fact that people in India could track the movements of people in Queens.
Well of course they can, but that's not what they were doing in this instance. At high noon I called again and was advised that "well I'm sure he'll be there right away." Finally, at 12:39 p.m., the techie called me and advised that he could be there in an hour, but that didn't do me any good as I had to leave in half an hour for the doctor. I have an extended warranty that provides for in-home service, so I'm dying to hear what HP will be doing to make this up to me. :-)
As for my eyes, well th other doctor believes it may very well be an allergy and gave me a prescriptin for an allergy eye drop product calld Optivar. Last week was one of the weeks that makes me want to curl up somewhere, between this and the events in the world. It certainly is getting easier to be misanthropic.
