Democracy is in Deep Trouble . . .

. . . If Clifford May is president of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and has such a poor grasp of history:

"President Roosevelt waited until after World War II to put in place a commission to investigate what mistakes led to Pearl Harbor."

Aside from the obvious historical error (did he rise out of his grave to do so?) which 48 hours later National Review has yet to correct, as Roger Ailes, (the blogger, not the Faux News Network President) notes, the commisson to investigate the Pearl harbor attack was appointed 11 days after the attack.
