The Miami Herald published a translation of the letter that Oswaldo Payá submitted to the Cuban Assembly along with the signatures last Friday that called for a referendum on democratic reforms in Cuba. Go read the letter; it's much more eloquent than anything I can write.

We (the Christian Labour Association of Canada) are busy with a protest card campaign over the imprisonment of trade unionists in Cuba earlier this year. We should have something on our magazine's website (http://www.clac.ca/publications/the_guide/) soon ....
